  30. You may not need to disable compression completely.  Here are the options
  31. for the %C command for most Supra modems.

  33. %Cn     Data Compression Enable/Disable
  34.          %C0     Disabled
  35.          %C1     MNP5 Enabled
  36.          %C2     V.42bis (BTLZ) Enabled
  37.          %C3     MNP5 & V.42bis (BTLZ) Enabled

  40. Without knowing the rest of your init string it would be hard to know
  41. where the cause is for the connection difficulties but try

  43. AT&F1%C2  if you use a Mac  or
  44. AT&F2%C2  for any other computer platform.
